The first membership card I received from
Chelsea, used for 5 years with it being
'clipped' like an old train ticket to show the
membership had been renewed
Apologies for the faint-hearted and the easily shocked amongst you but here
are a few more from the following years! Season tickets were a luxury item
that had to compete with the need for a set of wheels for those away games,
I think the moustache was to compensate for the lack of hair on
top..especially the Mexican style??....yep that'll be it!!!

Another rare and sought after programme for Chelsea's Tour of the West Indies, this one
covers the game against Wolverhampton Wanderers played 1st June 1964 the venue remains
a little sketchy as Chelsea played Wolves a total of 5 times during the tour, this one possibly in
Port Au Prince, Haiti
The pre-season public practice match featuring 'The
Probables' v 'The Possibles' at Stamford Bridge August
16th 1952
The Testimonial programme against Leicester City for the great servant
Ken Armstrong who played for The Blues on 402 occasions. Chelsea won
the match 2-1 with goals from Bradbrook and Sillett(pen) in front of 20,000
Chelsea's first match after the outbreak of World War 2, a friendly
played against Tottenham in front of 6,388 who saw Chelsea win 4-2
Gus Poyet is gobsmacked meeting his heroes and being told....'Yep
that's right son you're playing for Spurs next season'
As part of the Crawley Blues Christmas party entertainment, Russ introduced
his Dennis Wise ventriloquist dummy......only kidding..... Dennis gets to meet
the boys

Blackburn in the Carling Cup, although for two of my boys
they had been to many games previously this was that
'special' moment, their first away game,even though Harry
was at the Charity Shield in '97 (he slept through most of
it!!!) this was the first outside of London which was
finished off with a deserved 2 nil win for the mighty Blues
